What Happens When You Record

Tapestry does not access your microphone until you intentionally start a recording.

When you tap Record:

  1. Audio is captured on your device.
  2. Short audio chunks are sent securely to KOKORO’s backend.
  3. The audio is sent to Deepgram for transcription.
  4. The transcript is saved with your session.
  5. Transcript text, creative-profile information, project constraints, and candidate ideas may be sent to OpenAI and, when enabled, Anthropic or Google for creative generation and evaluation.
  6. Results are returned as Sparks, Threads, reports, or related creative materials.

Optional web enrichment may send a project-related search query to Tavily. Raw audio is not sent to generative-text providers during ordinary creative analysis.

By starting a recording, you request this processing. Do not record another person without any consent required by law.

Stop Recording

Tap Stop to end microphone capture.

Stopping prevents Tapestry from capturing additional audio. A chunk already transmitted or a final creative review already requested may finish processing so the session can be saved correctly.

Microphone Permission

You can revoke microphone access at any time:

iPhone Settings → Privacy & Security → Microphone → Tapestry

Without microphone access, recording and transcription features will not work. You can continue to access previously saved local content where available.

Delete Your Data

Delete an Individual Recording

Deleting a recording from Tapestry’s History removes that recording and its locally stored audio from the device.

An individual History deletion may not remove related server-side processing records. To request deletion of a specific server-side session without deleting your account, email hello@kokoro.cool with the subject Session Deletion Request and include the account email and approximate session date.

Delete Local Data

Use:

Tapestry → Settings → Privacy & Data → Delete Local Data

This deletes Tapestry recordings, local audio, transcripts, Threads, and session metadata stored on that device.

Delete Local Data:

  • Does not delete your Tapestry account;
  • Does not necessarily delete server-side session records;
  • Does not cancel an Apple subscription; and
  • Does not affect data stored in an Apple-managed device backup.

The action cannot be undone.

Delete Your Account

Use:

Tapestry → Settings → Account → Delete Account

Account deletion permanently removes your Tapestry account and associated data from KOKORO’s active systems, including account information, creative profile, server-side recordings, transcripts, generated content, usage records, and session history.

If you used Sign in with Apple, Tapestry may ask you to authenticate with Apple again so the associated authorization can be revoked.

Account deletion is irreversible.

Limited residual information may temporarily remain in encrypted backups, security logs, provider systems, or records KOKORO must retain by law. These copies are restricted and removed under the applicable retention schedule.

Important: Apple subscriptions

Deleting your Tapestry account does not automatically cancel an App Store subscription.

Deleting the App

Deleting Tapestry from your iPhone removes locally stored App data according to iOS behavior.

Deleting the App does not:

  • Delete your Tapestry account;
  • Guarantee deletion of server-side sessions; or
  • Cancel your Apple subscription.

Use Delete Account before deleting the App if you want your account and associated server data removed.

Profile and Access

Edit Your Creative Profile

You can review or change your project objective, tools, constraints, preferences, and creative-process information through:

Tapestry → Settings → Creative Profile → Edit Creative Profile

Updated profile information is used for future creative processing. It does not automatically rewrite previously generated results.

Export or Access Your Data

You can use Tapestry’s sharing features to export available transcripts, Threads, or session summaries.

For a formal copy of personal information associated with your account, email:

hello@kokoro.cool
Subject: Data Access Request

Include:

  • The email associated with your account;
  • The information you want; and
  • Your preferred machine-readable format, if applicable.

We may verify your identity before providing account data.

Correct Your Information

You can correct creative-profile information directly in the App.

To correct account information or server records that cannot be edited in Tapestry, email hello@kokoro.cool with the subject Correction Request.

Withdraw Consent

You can stop future microphone collection by revoking microphone permission or by not starting a recording.

Because transcription and AI analysis are core recording functions, Tapestry currently does not provide a recording mode that sends audio but disables transcription and creative processing.

Withdrawing consent does not affect processing that was lawfully completed before withdrawal. You may request deletion of previously processed information.

AI and Privacy

AI and Model Training

KOKORO does not sell your recordings or transcripts and does not use them to train a KOKORO general-purpose AI model.

Your data may be processed through enterprise or API services provided by Deepgram, OpenAI, Anthropic, or Google to perform the features you request. KOKORO requires providers to protect data through contractual or comparable commitments and to process it only for authorized purposes.

Authorized personnel may access limited session information when necessary for support, security, abuse investigation, technical diagnosis, service-quality evaluation, or legal compliance.

Advertising and Tracking

The Tapestry App:

  • Does not use advertising SDKs;
  • Does not request Apple’s advertising identifier;
  • Does not sell personal information;
  • Does not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising; and
  • Does not track your activity across unrelated companies’ apps or websites.

The device identifier used by Tapestry supports app functionality and usage-limit enforcement only.
