These Terms of Service and End-User License Agreement (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Tapestry mobile application, related websites, APIs, features, content, and services (collectively, the “Service”).
The Service is operated by 1001516868 Ontario Inc., doing business as KOKORO Studio (“KOKORO,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).
By creating an account, purchasing a subscription, or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. About Tapestry
Tapestry is an AI-assisted creative tool that can:
- Record audio after you intentionally start a recording;
- Transcribe recorded speech;
- Analyze transcripts and creative-profile information;
- Generate creative suggestions, “Sparks,” “Threads,” reports, and related materials;
- Save session history for later access; and
- Provide subscription-based recording and processing allowances.
Tapestry is a creative-assistance service. It is not a medical, mental-health, legal, financial, employment, or other regulated professional service.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old, or the minimum age required to use online services in your jurisdiction, whichever is higher.
If you are under the age of majority where you live, you may use the Service only with the permission and supervision of a parent or legal guardian. The parent or guardian is responsible for the minor’s use of the Service.
By using the Service, you represent that:
- You have the legal capacity to accept these Terms;
- The information you provide is accurate;
- You are not prohibited from using the Service under applicable law;
- You are not located in a country subject to a comprehensive United States government embargo or designated by the United States government as supporting terrorism; and
- You are not listed on a United States government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
3. Accounts
Some features require an account. You may be able to register using email, Sign in with Apple, or another supported authentication provider.
You are responsible for:
- Maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials;
- Activities performed through your account;
- Keeping your account information accurate;
- Protecting access to your device; and
- Promptly notifying us at hello@kokoro.cool if you suspect unauthorized access.
You may not share, sell, transfer, or rent your account.
We may require reauthentication before performing sensitive actions, including account deletion.
4. Recording Other People
You are solely responsible for ensuring that every recording is lawful.
Before recording another person, you must obtain all notices, permissions, and consents required by the laws applicable to you, the other participants, and the location of the recording.
You may not use Tapestry to:
- Secretly or unlawfully record another person;
- Intercept private communications;
- Record in a location where recording is prohibited;
- Violate confidentiality, employment, professional, contractual, or privacy obligations; or
- Collect sensitive information from another person without authorization.
KOKORO does not determine whether you have obtained legally sufficient consent.
5. Your Content
“Your Content” includes audio, transcripts, profile information, project descriptions, notes, feedback, prompts, and other material you submit to the Service.
As between you and KOKORO, you retain your rights in Your Content.
You grant KOKORO a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, reproduce, transmit, format, analyze, and otherwise process Your Content only as reasonably necessary to:
- Operate and provide the Service;
- Transcribe recordings;
- Generate requested AI-assisted results;
- Maintain your session history;
- Protect the Service and its users;
- Diagnose technical problems;
- Comply with law; and
- Enforce these Terms.
This license includes the right to provide Your Content to contracted infrastructure, transcription, authentication, and AI service providers for these purposes. It ends when the relevant content is deleted from our active systems, subject to limited backup, security, fraud-prevention, and legal-retention requirements.
You represent that you have all rights and permissions necessary to submit Your Content and authorize its processing under these Terms.
Do not submit trade secrets, legally privileged information, government identifiers, payment-card information, protected health information, or other highly sensitive material unless you have determined that doing so is appropriate and lawful.
6. AI-Generated Results
Tapestry uses automated systems and third-party AI services to generate suggestions and other results (“AI Output”).
AI Output:
- May be inaccurate, incomplete, unsuitable, offensive, or misleading;
- May not reflect the latest information;
- May be similar or identical to output generated for another user;
- May not qualify for copyright or other intellectual-property protection;
- May reference products, methods, or materials that are unavailable or inappropriate; and
- Must be reviewed using your own judgment before use or publication.
KOKORO does not guarantee the originality, accuracy, legality, safety, commercial value, or fitness of AI Output.
As between you and KOKORO, and to the extent permitted by applicable law, you may use AI Output generated specifically for you. KOKORO retains all rights in the underlying Service, software, models, templates, interface, and system materials.
You are responsible for checking AI Output for accuracy, intellectual-property conflicts, safety, and suitability before relying on it.
7. Acceptable Use
You may not use the Service to:
- Violate any law, regulation, court order, or third-party right;
- Infringe privacy, publicity, copyright, trademark, contractual, or other rights;
- Generate, upload, or distribute unlawful, fraudulent, defamatory, abusive, threatening, or exploitative material;
- Exploit or endanger children;
- Develop or distribute malware or malicious instructions;
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or another user’s data;
- Probe, scan, or test system vulnerabilities without written authorization;
- Bypass subscriptions, usage limits, security measures, or access controls;
- Scrape or access the Service through unauthorized automated means;
- Reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or derive source code except where applicable law expressly permits it;
- Use the Service or its output to develop or train a competing general-purpose model without written permission;
- Resell or commercially provide access to the Service without authorization;
- Overload, interfere with, or disrupt the Service;
- Misrepresent AI Output as verified fact or professional advice; or
- Impersonate another person or entity.
We may investigate suspected violations and suspend or terminate access when reasonably necessary to protect users, KOKORO, third parties, or the Service.
8. License to the App
Subject to these Terms, KOKORO grants you a limited, personal, revocable, non-exclusive, non-sublicensable, and non-transferable license to use Tapestry on Apple-branded products that you own or control, as permitted by the applicable App Store usage rules.
Where Apple permits it, the App may also be accessed through Family Sharing, volume purchasing, or other Apple-supported sharing arrangements.
No rights are granted except those expressly stated in these Terms.
9. Subscriptions and Purchases
Certain features require an auto-renewable subscription purchased through Apple’s In-App Purchase system.
Before purchase, Tapestry displays the applicable plan, billing period, price, recording allowance, and included features. The price shown by the App Store at confirmation is the price that applies to your purchase.
By purchasing a subscription, you acknowledge that:
- Payment is charged to your Apple Account;
- The subscription automatically renews for the selected period unless canceled before renewal;
- Apple manages billing, renewal, payment methods, taxes, cancellations, and refunds;
- Apple may attempt to charge your payment method shortly before the current period expires;
- You can manage or cancel the subscription through your App Store account settings;
- Deleting Tapestry or deleting your Tapestry account does not automatically cancel an Apple subscription;
- Unused recording minutes ordinarily do not roll over unless the applicable offer expressly says otherwise;
- Recording stops when the applicable usage allowance is exhausted, and Tapestry does not impose automatic overage charges; and
- Access may be restricted if payment fails, the subscription expires, or Apple revokes the entitlement.
Current subscription management options are available at Apple’s subscription management page.
Refund requests for App Store purchases must ordinarily be submitted to Apple and are governed by Apple’s policies and applicable consumer law. Nothing in these Terms limits a non-waivable right to a refund or remedy.
Subscriptions are also subject to the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions.
We may change plans, prices, allowances, or features prospectively. Changes do not alter an already-paid subscription period except where required for security, legal compliance, or circumstances outside our reasonable control.
10. Trials and Promotional Offers
If a free trial, introductory price, promotional offer, or offer code is displayed, the specific terms shown at purchase apply.
Unless the offer states otherwise, a trial or promotional period automatically converts to the displayed paid subscription when it ends unless canceled through Apple before renewal.
Eligibility is determined by Apple and may be limited to new or qualifying subscribers.
11. Privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how audio and transcripts are processed, which service providers receive data, how long information is retained, and how to exercise privacy rights.
Our Data Controls page explains the difference between deleting local data, deleting a recording, deleting an account, withdrawing microphone access, and managing an Apple subscription.
12. Intellectual Property
The Service—including its software, interface, visual design, trademarks, logos, text, workflows, prompts, system instructions, and documentation—is owned by KOKORO or its licensors and protected by intellectual-property laws.
You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, license, publicly display, or create derivative works from the Service except as expressly authorized by these Terms or applicable law.
“Tapestry,” “KOKORO,” associated logos, and related branding may not be used without prior written permission.
13. Third-Party Services and Content
The Service relies on third parties for functions such as authentication, payments, hosting, storage, transcription, AI processing, and optional search enrichment.
Your use of Apple products and services remains subject to Apple’s terms. You must also comply with applicable terms from your internet, mobile, authentication, and device providers.
Third-party services may become unavailable, change, or experience interruptions outside KOKORO’s control. Links or references to third-party products do not constitute an endorsement or warranty.
14. Service Availability and Changes
We may update, improve, limit, suspend, or discontinue features to maintain security, comply with law, respond to provider changes, or improve the Service.
We do not guarantee that:
- The Service will always be available;
- Recordings or transcripts will be error-free;
- A particular AI provider, feature, plan, or model will remain available;
- Every recording will produce a transcript or creative result; or
- Stored content will be available indefinitely.
You should maintain independent copies of content that is important to you.
15. Suspension and Termination
You may stop using the Service at any time.
We may suspend or terminate access if:
- You materially violate these Terms;
- Your use presents a security, legal, fraud, or abuse risk;
- Payment or entitlement cannot be verified;
- We are required to do so by law or a platform provider; or
- Continuing to provide the Service is no longer reasonably possible.
Where appropriate, we will provide notice and an opportunity to address the issue.
Sections that by their nature should survive termination—including intellectual property, disclaimers, limitations of liability, dispute provisions, and payment obligations—will survive.
16. Account Deletion
You may initiate permanent account deletion inside Tapestry through:
Settings → Account → Delete Account
Account deletion removes the account and associated data from KOKORO’s active systems, subject to limited information that must be retained for legal, security, fraud-prevention, or accounting purposes.
If you used Sign in with Apple, Tapestry may require Apple reauthentication and will attempt to revoke the associated Apple authorization as part of deletion.
Account deletion is irreversible. It does not automatically cancel an Apple subscription. Cancel the subscription separately through your App Store account.
Deleting the App from your device does not delete your Tapestry account.
17. Disclaimers
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, statutory, or otherwise.
KOKORO disclaims implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, non-infringement, quiet enjoyment, and accuracy.
We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, error-free, or free from harmful components, or that AI Output will be accurate, original, safe, or suitable.
Some jurisdictions do not permit certain warranty exclusions. In those jurisdictions, the exclusions apply only to the extent permitted by law.
18. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, KOKORO and its directors, officers, employees, contractors, affiliates, and licensors will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, opportunities, goodwill, data, or business, arising from the Service.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, KOKORO’s aggregate liability arising from the Service or these Terms will not exceed the greater of:
- CAD $100; or
- The amount you paid for the Service during the twelve months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.
These limitations do not apply to liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including liability for fraud, willful misconduct, or death or personal injury caused by negligence where applicable law prohibits limitation.
19. Indemnification
To the extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify and hold KOKORO harmless from third-party claims, losses, and reasonable costs arising from:
- Your unlawful use of the Service;
- Your Content;
- Your recording of another person without required authorization;
- Your violation of these Terms; or
- Your infringement of a third party’s rights.
This section does not require you to indemnify KOKORO for KOKORO’s own unlawful conduct.
20. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable in Ontario, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
Subject to any mandatory consumer rights or local jurisdiction requirements, disputes will be brought in the courts located in Toronto, Ontario.
If you are a consumer, nothing in this section deprives you of mandatory protections or the right to bring a claim in a forum available under the laws of your residence.
Before filing a claim, you and KOKORO agree to attempt in good faith to resolve the matter by written notice sent to hello@kokoro.cool.
21. Apple App Store Terms
If you obtain Tapestry through the Apple App Store, the following additional terms apply and are intended to satisfy Apple’s minimum end-user license terms:
- Parties. These Terms are between you and KOKORO, not Apple. KOKORO, not Apple, is responsible for Tapestry and its content.
- License scope. Your license is limited to a non-transferable license to use Tapestry on Apple-branded products you own or control, subject to Apple’s usage rules and any permitted Family Sharing or volume-purchasing access.
- Maintenance and support. KOKORO is solely responsible for maintenance and support. Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support.
- Warranty. If Tapestry fails to conform to an applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple may refund the purchase price paid for the App, if any. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation. KOKORO is responsible for other claims, losses, liabilities, damages, costs, or expenses attributable to a failure to conform to an applicable warranty.
- Product claims. KOKORO, not Apple, is responsible for addressing claims relating to Tapestry or your use of it, including product-liability, legal-compliance, consumer-protection, and privacy claims.
- Intellectual-property claims. If a third party claims that Tapestry or your possession or use of it infringes intellectual-property rights, KOKORO, not Apple, is responsible for investigating, defending, settling, and discharging that claim.
- Legal compliance. You represent that you are not located in an embargoed or terrorism-supporting country and are not listed as a prohibited or restricted party by the United States government.
- Third-party terms. You must comply with applicable third-party terms when using Tapestry, including your wireless-data and Apple Media Services agreements.
- Third-party beneficiary. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms. Upon your acceptance, Apple has the right to enforce these Terms against you as a third-party beneficiary.

22. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms to reflect changes to the Service, law, security practices, or business operations.
For material changes, we will provide reasonable notice through the Service, by email, or on our website before the changes take effect when required by law.
Changes apply prospectively. If you do not agree to revised Terms, you must stop using the Service and may delete your account.
23. General Terms
If a provision is found unenforceable, it will be modified only to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will remain effective.
Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver.
You may not assign these Terms without our written consent. We may assign them in connection with a merger, acquisition, restructuring, or transfer of the Service, subject to applicable law.
These Terms, the Privacy Policy, applicable purchase disclosures, and any mandatory platform terms constitute the complete agreement concerning the Service.
